What is Resolution?
An image resolution determines the amount of pixels (dots / information) in each inch of the picture, hence the measurements "dpi" (

nch) or "ppi" (

nch). Obviously, the higher the "dpi" the better the quality of the image.
Typical resolution for internet purposes
Low resolution, ideal for proofing purposes
High resolution, ideal quality for print & graphic applications
