What format can be used?
PDF - The quickest format to manufacture is a .PDF Document as this is a 'ready to print' format.

Quark Files - Ensure fonts or pictures used in a quark project are supplied in a separate folder using the package function under the 'file' menu and artwork is saved as a .PDF

Illustrator - Save files as .PDF or .EPS. With fonts converted to outlines or with fonts supplied.

InDesign - Ensure fonts are converted to curves and all linked images are embedded into the artwork.

Photoshop - Please supply your artwork as a flat layered .PSD or a .PDF

FreeHand - Save all Freehand generated files into EPS or PDF files. With fonts converted to outlines or with fonts supplied.

Corel Draw - We can except Corel files when all fonts are converted to curves.

Other Formats - Other Application formats e.g. Publisher, Power Point, might not be suitable for direct CMYK printing please contact us with any queries.

How to Set Color Format
CMYK - Please ensure all artwork supplied has been created using CMYK (NOT RGB) as this is the format used by the printing industry and some colors in RGB are not available in the CMYK model and could produce unexpected results.

How To: Set CMYK in Photoshop - New Project

On the new project screen ensure 'Color Mode' is set to 'CMYK Color'

How To: Set CMYK in Photoshop - Existing Project

Step 1 - Open your existing project and select Image -> Mode -> CMYK Color

Step 2 - Select 'Don't Merge' ("Warning" Selecting Merge will flatten all your project layers)

Overprints and knockout
When supplying artwork please ensure no elements have a set overprint or knockout because these are difficult to spot and might produce unexpected results.

How To: Supply Fonts
.PDF - Please ensure all fonts are embedded into your PDF document.

.EPS - Please ensure all fonts are converted to outlines prior to sending.

How To: Color Proof
A digital proof will present a fairly accurate representation of your final product but cannot portray the exact same colours achievable and unachievable through CMKY print. For the best chance at seeing the 'real' color you should use a CMYK Pantone.
